History:
VERSILCRAFT’S tradition is based on solid fact: over 40 years of experience with a production of more than 350 vessels.
Established in 1964 in Viareggio, pre-eminently a marine city since the beginning and is now considered the heart of the worldwide nautical world. Over the years the shipyard has produced vessels that will never become out of date.
Models like Mystere, Mirage, Vanguard, and Phantom are still highly requested by connoisseurs and by the market itself and are jealously preserved by their owners. They are vessels that have been built in different periods, by men that with their simple passion for the sea, a strong initiative and the will to learn and understand how to anticipate the markets needs, all this combined created this historical trade mark and these vessels that are true jewels destined to last time.
Since 1998 the company has passed from the hands of the original founder, Marco Pezzini, to his son - Andrea Pezzini.
The shipyard’s evolution regards its continuous research for a higher level of security, stability and comfort; but the shipyard’s soul is built on solid craftsmanship’s traditions. The construction therefore of these vessels are “made to measure” for a very selective clientele.
Andrea Pezzini has inherited the skill and the passion for the sea, but has also known how to give a younger and more dynamic touch to the shipyard. At this moment the new shipyard of over 4.200 sqm. is under construction and is situated near the sea within the Port area of Viareggio and will be completed around the end of the year 2006.

All of Versilcraft’s vessels are entirely built in the shipyard and even from the divisional bulkheads each vessel differentiates itself, because each one is an individual and is purely based on the owner’s personal taste and request. The Shipyard has a wide selection of always updated materials, woods, marbles, granites and accessory samples and can rely on professionals that are always able to propose new and different solutions for the interior design.
The graphic simulation as the “rendering” is a very valid instrument that can transform the client’s ideas and personal taste into perfect and realistic images, therefore you have a extraordinary sensation of evaluating a project with the same clarity and abundant details of a finished yacht.

The shipyard’s is very proud of the fact that it has never swayed from the road of the expert craftsmen.
The shipyard’s staff is at the client’s complete disposal, proposing different stylistic solutions, that slowly take shape to form the final project.
The craftsmen are totally capable to give life to the client’s ideas and then the architect is able to transform these ideas into rendering and design sketches.
Not only: but also thanks to the craftsmen, it does not matter whether they work with wood or stainless steel, they are capable to devise the perfect stylistic solution suitable to resolve any given problem or to render any apparatus functional and efficient.
All the furniture, as well as, all the carpentry works for the external decks are manufactured within the shipyard itself.

All the models proposed by the Shipyard have been first tested at the Vienna Naval Basin, where the stability and hull’s performance have been studied and through computer simulations the boat begins to take shape. Even from the beginning of the project the attention was concentrated on the optimization of stability, comfort and safety during cruising therefore, today all the models that have been built have received the highest certification as motor-yachts A1 Malta Cross.
Versilcraft is also very proud to have received the prestigious certificate COMFORT CLASS from R.I.Na. (Italian Shipping Registry) for Planet 110’ S “Macy Belle”. The first fibreglass M/Y in the world to have received this award; “MACY BELLE” was installed with a soundproofing system studied by the shipyard together with one of the markets most renowned specialists, Mr. J. Van Cappellen.

The shipyard is constantly updated regarding new technologies in order to offer its clients and his guests better safety, performances and comfort.
Keeping in mind the above, the standard production is already provided with the latest audio-video technology as well as all the navigation instruments.
